Meet the board members of fullcourt holdings

Curtis A. James, Jr., Ph.D.

Curtis A. James has over 20 years of experience in education, administration, and entrepreneurship. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership Administration and Foundations from Indiana State University, and a Master's in Public Administration from Governors State University. 

 

Throughout his career, James has held various leadership roles within education and community development organizations. From 2005 to 2009, he served as the administrator of Orr Community High School within the Chicago Public School system. He also served as the coordinator for the Department of Education-to-Careers from 2002 to 2005, and the Executive Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development from 1997 to 2002.  From 1978-88, James was CEO and owner of Lincoln Dental Supplies.

 

Education and community development are his passions. He strives to equip students and communities with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities they need to succeed. His work is driven by a desire to create positive change and expand access to economic opportunity.

Joan Sullivan 

Joan Sullivan is a Senior Partner with Urban Ideas LLP, MBE/WBE headquartered in Orland Park, IL. Urban Ideas is an independent boutique consultancy that specializes in artist management, business development, coaching, leadership development and events management in the arts, entertainment and small business space.



Joan is responsible for operations, business development and artist management. In addition, Joan overseas Urban Ideas’ digital publishing business, and she is the Owner and Chief Executive Officer for Kingdom Records, Inc. along with three label music imprints – Chicago Creed Music Group, Urban Creed Music, Indie Chart Music - and Kingdom Publishing Company.


Since 2003, these imprints have produced over 100 projects including albums,

concert DVDs, compilations, digital albums, singles and video releases. The Kingdom Records imprint has produced three gold and two platinum records and was named a Top 10 Independent Label in Billboard Magazine for 2009 and 2010.


In 2019, Joan Sullivan opened Culture Food and Entertainment Group, Inc., a

restaurant/live entertainment venue, located in the South Suburbs of IL.


Previously, Joan was a Vice President of e-Business Technology for Citibank. In this capacity, she routinely managed multi-million-dollar global technology projects.


She has more than 40 years of comprehensive business experience.


She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from DePaul University. She has outstanding leadership skills, excellent strategic management skills, relationship management skills and an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all aspects of business.


Joan is deeply committed to working with artists and small or medium enterprises to understand and take advantage of opportunities in arts and entertainment.

ALAN FLOYD

Alan Floyd, a Memphis, Tennessee native who now calls Atlanta home, is a distinguished figure in the music industry, known for his meticulous attention to detail in the production and management of live shows. With a career spanning over three decades, he has made indelible contributions, most notably as the Head of Global Touring Operations for Beyoncé, spending 23 years shaping the performance experiences of one of the world's most celebrated icons.

As a top tour manager in the business, he also collaborated with many A-list artists across genres, including: SWV, TLC, Destiny’s Child / Kelly Rowland (solo) /Michelle Williams (solo) Keith Sweat, Dru Hill, Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary, and Carl Thomas.


Applying his talents to music production as well as touring, Alan has also brought his unique perspective and passion for sound to life via a series of pieces on SoundCloud that showcase his diverse taste and innovative approach to production.


Alan’s most recent work answers a calling that transcends the stage. Standing behind the scenes during one of Beyoncé's electrifying concerts, he had a profound realization: that even with the greatest entertainment, many people are still trapped in a relentless cycle akin to the Matrix, living spiritually impoverished lives. This led him to the life-altering decision to pursue a higher purpose in SoulFactory, bringing ancient wisdom together with modern holistic practices to leave a lasting impact on the world.

TAMRA SIMMONS 

Internationally-acclaimed executive producer, creative developer, talent director, and entrepreneur, Tamra Simmons is currently the Director of Production and Development at Live Always (LA) Productions based in Atlanta, Georgia. A particular forte in storytelling, her primary role is overseeing the development and production of compelling, original content in television. Simmons also has mastered the power of pitching and is known for her ability to develop and pitch content in all facets of television. Simmons inhabits entertainment and cultural niches of the industry, prudently creating and approving storyboards, monitoring processes to ensure accuracy in presentation. Emmy nominee, Simmons works in on-set production, leading projects from ideation to execution and final delivery. She is experienced in avidly hiring directors, principal cast members, and production staff.


Tamra Simmons was the creator and executive producer of the ground-breaking Lifetime documentary series, Surviving R. Kelly. Impressively, the docuseries has reached a viewership of 26.8 million since its debut in 2019, followed by season two in 2020. Prior to producing the widespread docuseries, Simmons’ commencement to television occurred when she helped franchise the WE tv hit reality series, Growing Up Hip Hop. Tamra has orchestrated casting for several key brands, represented talent through outreach initiatives, and contributed to creative planning, using audience data to drive decisions. An ambitious visionary, her work has earned raving reviews by national media outlets including Deadline, CNN, Washington Post, Variety, and many more.


Simmons’ creative nuance has garnered nominations for a Critics Choice Award (MTV),Best Documentary Series (MTV), Program of The Year, Inclusion Award, NAACP Most Outstanding Docuseries, Peabody Award, and a host of notable honors.

Jaqueline Priel 

Jackie has over 20 years experience working within the music, television, sports, fashion, and motion picture industries working at Yeezy, Donda Sports, Universal Music Group, Sony Pictures, Naked Wardrobe, and private law firms. Experience includes digital and mobile distribution/exploitation, licensing, sponsorships, endorsements, partnerships, music industry agreements, film and television production agreements, talent agreements, producer agreements, copyrights, patents, and overall corporate business affairs and strategy.
